A mix of Chronital® and Grittal® offers excellent alternatives to the conventional use of glass or ceramic beads in numerous stainless steel and aluminum surface treatment applications. In most applications, adding 10%-30% Grittal® to Chronital® will result in the uniform satin finish that is common from bead blasting but at a significant cost reduction. The Chronital®/Grittal® mix is typically 75 times more durable than glass beads, resulting in a consistent, predictable and repeatable process/finish. In addition, blasting with a Chronital®/Grittal® mix is nearly dust free, providing much greater object visibility and dramatically reducing waste disposal costs.
